The Girls LYLA program is divided by age group, with a path from first sticks all the way to middle school select teams.
Our U8 program is clinic based, spring and fall. This is where most players are introduced to the sport for the first time. Lacrosse can be difficult for the littles, so our goal is to create an encouraging and fun environment! The weekly clinics teach basic skills and make learning the game fun!
We have lots of extra equipment, so if you don't own or have these items, don't worry — we do! The only item required to bring is a mouthguard.
The U10 program does league play in the spring, which consists of 2 practices a week and games. U10 plays on a short field with 6 field players and a goalie. The U10 team has a roster size of 10–12 players typically. Depending on the number of players registered, we may have multiple teams, named by color (LYLA White, LYLA Black).
The way teams are split depends on the players registered — it varies each season, but we'll communicate how teams are divided at the beginning of each season should that be the case.
Fall format is weekly clinics, run one time per week. We take the fall off-season to develop and grow the team's skills ahead of spring league play.
The middle school program is divided by school year:
